O události

We invite everyone to the lecture by Prof. Dr. Stephan Conermann:
Strong Asymmetrical Dependencies in Societies: Cultural Heritage, Reconciliation and Other Forms of Conflict Transformation

Room No. 210, Faculty of Theology in Budweis, Kněžská 8
Friday, 27 February 2026, 9:00 – 11:00

In his lecture, Prof. Dr. Stephan Conermann will present the work of the Cluster of Excellence “Beyond Slavery and Freedom. Strong Asymmetrical Dependencies in Societies” and the Bonn Center for Reconciliation Studies.
There is some overlap between the two projects in terms of content.

While the first project examines how sustainable dependency structures are rooted in various social orders, the Center focuses, among other things, on the intensive reappraisal of the difficult legacy of colonialism—and the slavery often linked to it — in many formerly colonized countries.
