Employment possibilities of the graduate

A successful graduate of the bachelor’s branch of Philosophy and Religious Studies has the opportunity to continue further studies at follow-up master’s level (whether with us or elsewhere) or work in practice, especially in areas where they require a broad general knowledge, the ability to perceive, interpret and analyse partial phenomena in a context, knowledge of religious and cultural specifics of various social groups and nowadays a much needed value and ethical background.

Characteristics of the study branch

The aim of the field is to deepen the knowledge of the history of philosophy and systematic philosophy and to continue in the bachelor’s study and to deepen the philosophical foundation of graduates on an individual level. In the context of the Faculty of Theology, the emphasis is placed especially on topics related to the religious conception of the world. Another important aspect is the development of the students’ ability to think independently and creatively, interpret and process current topics using the wealth of ideas of the past. The practical goal of the study branch in terms of students’ employment is to cover the needs of many workers in various spheres of social practice, where a deeper philosophical reflection is needed, but also where the graduate draws on sources of inspiration and motivation based on Christian roots.
