Dr. Martin Klapetek at The Sixth International Congress of Religious Studies ´Belief – Imagination – Knowledge. New Paths of Religious Studies in the 21st Century´

On September 27th – October 1st 2021, Polish Society for the Study of Religions and Institute for the Study of Religions, Jagiellonian University, Krakow held The Sixth International Congress of Religious Studies
´Belief – Imagination – Knowledge. New Paths of Religious Studies in the 21st Century´.
The event was attended by dozens of experts from Poland as well as abroad. Due to the pandemic situation the congress was held in a hybrid form, most of the speakers shared their papers on current religious phenomena in social and cultural contexts in person, whoever wanted to attend the congress could view it and participate online.
Our colleague Dr. Martin Klapetek attended the congress for the whole week and presented his paper on ´Bremgartenfriedhof w Bernie (Szwajcaria) jako przykład uwieńczonej sukcesem integracji muzułmanów´ - Bremgartenfriedhof in Bern (Switzerland) as an example of successful integration of Muslims
Dr. Klapetek also added: ´The event showed the current state of Polish religious studies growing out of the historical development of recent decades. From our point of view it can be said that the situation in the Czech Republic and Poland is similar in many respects. A new generation of students and young scientists shows that the future of Polish religious studies is naturally in the middle of a European and global debate.´
