You will learn to think critically and come up with creative solutions to various problems. You will gain confidence in who you are, where you are and why you are. You can work in philosophical consulting, as a writer or journalist (you can argue), in the position of manager, editor, PR worker (broad perspective, critical thinking and the ability to clearly reproduce ideas). The bachelor’s study programme will fully prepare you for a follow-up master’s degree or a study of related humanities programmes. You can continue your doctoral studies and work as an academic (lecture, publish), either at a university or an academy of sciences. |
Characteristics of the study branch |
You will become acquainted in detail with the history of philosophy from antiquity to the present and with the main areas of systematic philosophy, from logic to ethics. You will learn the methodology of the field together with the basic skills that are needed in it, especially the ability to interpret a professional text, write professional texts and lead a professional discussion in the right way. During the first year of study, you will be able to choose the option of combining philosophy (major) with a supplementary field (minor). |
