Employment possibilities of the graduate |
Graduates will find employment as a teacher of religion or ethics in church schools, but also in pedagogical practice, where they will be able to present topics related to religion and the values of human life and society in teaching the basics of social sciences, history or literature. |

Characteristics of the study branch |
This study branch must always be studied in combination with another specialisation focused on education for secondary schools. The application for the second study specialisation is governed by the conditions of the relevant faculty of USB, which provide the second specialisation. It is possible to combine this study branch with the following: • Czech Language and Literature with a Focus on Middle School Education (FA USB) • German Language with a Focus on Middle School Education (FA USB) • Spanish Language with a Focus on Middle School Education (FA USB) • Biology with a Focus on Middle School Education (FS USB) • Physics with a Focus on Middle School Education (FS USB) • Chemistry with a Focus on Middle School Education (FS USB) • Information Technology with a Focus on Middle School Education (FS USB) • Mathematics with a Focus on Middle School Education (FS USB) • Basics of Social Sciences with a Focus on Middle School Education (PE USB) • Music Education with a Focus on Middle School Education (PE USB) • Physical Education with a Focus on Middle School Education (PE USB) |

The bachelor’s study branch is designed as the first part of a comprehensive educational plan leading to the acquisition of a teaching qualification for middle schools. The second part consists of a follow-up master’s branch, which is offered by the University of South Bohemia as a university-wide Teacher Training Programme for middle schools, in which applicants always choose a combination of two specialisations. Within these specialisations, there is also the Teaching of Religion and Ethics. The study plans of both study branches are based on the Framework Requirements for Study Programmes, the completion of which provides a professional qualification for the performance of regulated professions of pedagogical staff (Ref. no. MŠMT –21271/2017-5). |
