Virtual reality presentation in Utrecht

Dr. Věra Suchomelová, a member of the Socio-gerontology network, took part in the annual meeting in Utrecht. As part of the two-day event (September 28-29), she presented a methodology focused on the meaningful use of virtual reality in homes for the elderly called "Virtual reality and it's use in care homes and beyond". The methodology is one of the main results of the VIREAS project, solved with the support of TAČR. The society brings together scientists from various social fields and scientific disciplines with an interest in critical studies of aging and technology. Members see digitization and technology as important but under-researched areas of aging.
