Josef Petr Ondok's Library

The library is located on the ground floor of the Faculty of Theology building in the centre of České Budějovice. It is housed in the former Capuchin convent near the Church of St Anne, which was dissolved in 1786. The library holds approximately 50,000 books. Its collection includes theological, spiritual, and church-related literature, as well as academic publications in psychology, sociology, philosophy, religious studies, education, social work, political science, law, and the natural sciences.
In addition to Czech publications, the collection also contains books in German, Slovak, English, and Italian. The library includes study spaces and most books may be borrowed for home use and renewed online, by telephone, or by email. Borrowed items may also be reserved online or in person.
The library is supported by the Alma library services and management system. Users may search for books, journal articles, and other resources through the Primo Discovery search interface, which provides integrated access to the library’s printed collections, subscribed electronic resources, and scholarly publications via a single search platform. The library serves students and academic staff of the Faculty of Theology, as well as students and staff of other faculties and schools. Its services are also available to members of the public.

Monday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Wednesday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
