Dear colleagues, members of the academic community, friends and colleagues.
For the past three years, the faculty, like the entire society, has been going through a difficult period - after the Covid-19 pandemic, which, among other things, caused considerable restrictions on our work and studies, then came the war in Ukraine and the subsequent energy crisis. I think we have been able to withstand these challenges, we have stood together as an academic community - and we have also stretched our strength to help others. Thanks to all of you for that. We do not know what the new year will bring, but we will certainly do everything together with our colleagues to ensure that teaching and other activities of the faculty take place as they should.
In the new academic year, on the threshold of which we are currently standing, I look forward to meeting you not only at lectures, exercises and seminars, but also at other formal and informal opportunities that are so characteristic of university life.
In the near future, I look forward to meeting you on the occasion of the ceremonial matriculation of new students and the solemn Veni sancte service on the occasion of the opening of the academic year at the university (October 5), as well as at the graduation of graduates (October 6).
Last but not least, I would like to welcome especially the new students of our bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs. Good luck in the studio!
In conclusion, I would like to wish you all good health and a happy start to the new academic year 2023/2024.
