Admission Procedure for the Academic Year 2026/2027
The Dean of the Faculty of Theology, University of South Bohemia, announces the admission procedure for all Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral study programmes for the 2026/2027 academic year. Applications must be submitted exclusively online by the following deadlines:

Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes: 10 April 2026

Doctoral programmes: 30 April 2026
The admission procedure includes an administrative fee and, depending on the programme, may also involve talent or knowledge tests, interviews, or project proposals. Applicants to English-taught programmes (such as Helping Professions in Civil Society) complete a two-round entrance exam, with the first part provided by Scio.
Master’s Programme: Helping Professions in Civil Society (English, full-time)
How to Apply – Quick Step-by-Step Guide
1. Check Admission Requirements
You need to have:

A Bachelor’s degree in a helping profession

OR a Bachelor’s degree in another field + proof of at least 3 years of professional experience in a helping organisation

An officially certified copy of your diploma (or official English translation, if not in English)
– For Czech and Slovak graduates: only a certified copy of the diploma is required -
A Master’s thesis project (approx. 5,400 characters, incl. spaces)
2. Submit the Online Application

Fill in the electronic application form.

Upload all required documents.

Deadline for submitting thesis project: 30 April 2026

Submit your certified diploma copy to the Student Affairs Office by 10 April 2026, but no later than 15 September 2026
3. Pay the Tuition Fee (After Admission)

Tuition: CZK 20,000 per semester

The top-ranked applicant in the second round receives a 30% discount for the first semester
4. Complete the Entrance Examination
The admissions process has two rounds:
Round 1 – English & Academic Skills Test

Take the General Academic Prerequisites in English test with Scio
-
Test period: 1 August 2025 – 31 May 2026

Minimum score: 30%

Register directly on the Scio website

You must allow Scio to share your result with the University
Only the top 20 applicants advance to Round 2.
Round 2 – Online Interview & Thesis Project Defence

Held online between 8–12 June 2026

You will receive a link and exact time by email

You must:

Attend at the scheduled time

Have camera showing face and shoulders
-
Present an identity document
-
Agree to recording and ensure stable internet connection

Applicants are evaluated on:

Communication skills
-
Knowledge of previous studies
-
Quality and relevance of the thesis project
-
Additional questions may be asked if the project or background does not clearly relate to helping professions
Minimum score to pass: 10 / 40 points
5. Results

After both rounds, applicants are ranked and the faculty publishes the admission results.
