Programme structure

Why study social work
The study program "Social and Charity Work" will prepare you for the profession of social worker. Thanks to this, you can help people in challenging life situations, such as the homeless, drug addicts, families in need, endangered children, seniors, the dying, victims of domestic violence, people with disabilities, people leaving prison, indebted people, and many others.
What awaits you during your studies?
You will learn social work, social policy, psychology, sociology, and ethics. Professional practice will be an integral part of the study, during which you will be able to observe the work of a social worker with clients and participate in helping people in difficult life situations. We will collectively reflect on and deepen knowledge from practice against a theoretical background. Thanks to the feedback you receive during study and practice, you can develop further. Towards the end of your studies, you will have the opportunity to delve deeper into several selected areas of social work, such as working with seniors, families, the dying in hospices, or socially excluded persons. Program graduates will also be prepared for study in a follow-up Master's program in the education field No. 24 Social Work.
