Basic Info for Degree-Seeking Applicants and Exchange Students

 

Dear international students, 

We are very happy that you are interested in our Faculty of Theology. In its research and teaching activities the faculty focuses on theology and philosophy, as well as social work and education, where the emphasis is put on Christian ethical and social valuesIn case you are interested in studying at our faculty you can choose from a range of bachelor'smaster's and doctoral programmes, as well as programmes of lifelong learning.


There are several possibilities for international students studying at our Faculty.

(2) If you don't speak Czech you may be:

International students are encouraged to join either of three doctoral degree programmes in a foreign language. We offer a complete post-graduate programme of Doctor of Theology (Th.D.), in German and in English. We also offer a post-graduate programme of Doctor of  Philosophy (Ph.D.) in English and a post-graduate programme of Doctor of Charity Studies in German and in English. If you are a regular student at some foreign university, you may make use of a mobility programme such as Erasmus+ or others.

The Faculty of Theology doesn't offer any bachelor's or master's degree study programmes in English and German languages. However, it offers several courses which are taught primarily in English (and some others also in German, Italian, Spanish).

The rest of courses is taught in Czech but lecturers can provide English materials and students will be expected to familiarise themselves with the materials and fulfil the requirements, such as making a presentation, written paper, etc. Our courses cover main areas of study: Philosophy, Theology, Religious Studies, Leisure Time Education and Social Work.

Please be aware that your official nomination, sent by the International Office of your home university, must be received no later than 31/05/2021 for the winter semester and 30/11/2021 for the summer semester. The deadline for online registration is 15/06/2021 for the winter semester 2021/2022 and 15/12/2021 for the summer semester 2021/2022.
